Inspection and verification sequence

What we check before release

The exact test plan is aligned with the approved project documents, applicable standards, equipment type, and customer witnessing requirements.

  1. 01

    Visual inspection

    We check enclosure finish, workmanship, dimensions, component identification, warning labels, nameplates, door alignment, sealing, ventilation, and visible damage. The completed panel is compared with the approved general arrangement and construction requirements.

  2. 02

    Mechanical inspection

    Mounting, fasteners, torque, clearances, compartment barriers, hinges, locks, shutters, withdrawable mechanisms, and mechanical operation are examined. Components must be secure, accessible, and correctly installed without obstruction or unsafe movement.

  3. 03

    Wiring verification

    Power and control wiring is checked against approved schematics and wiring schedules. We verify conductor size and colour, routing, ferrules, terminal numbers, termination quality, separation, labelling, and tightening of connections.

  4. 04

    Continuity test

    Protective-earth continuity is verified between the main earth bar and exposed conductive parts, including doors and removable sections. Point-to-point continuity checks also confirm that control circuits follow the approved drawings.

  5. 05

    Insulation resistance

    Insulation resistance is measured between phases, neutral, and earth using the appropriate test voltage. Sensitive electronic devices are isolated where required, and measured values are recorded against the applicable acceptance criteria.

  6. 06

    Functional testing

    Control circuits are energized safely to verify switches, contactors, relays, meters, indication lamps, alarms, controls, and operating sequences. Application-specific functions such as ATS transfer or motor-control logic are tested through their intended modes.

  7. 07

    Protection settings

    Circuit-breaker and protection-relay settings are entered and checked against the approved protection schedule, coordination study, or project requirements. Key pickup values, delays, and enabled protection functions are documented.

  8. 08

    Interlock testing

    Mechanical, electrical, and key interlocks are operated through normal and abnormal sequences. The checks confirm that conflicting devices cannot close together and that unsafe access or operation is prevented as designed.

  9. 09

    Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

    The completed assembly is reviewed against the approved FAT procedure and project documents, with customer or consultant witnessing when required. Results, observations, and punch-list items are recorded and closed before release.

  10. 10

    Documentation

    The final quality package can include inspection records, test results, approved settings, as-built drawings, datasheets, manuals, certificates, FAT reports, and resolved punch lists according to the project scope.
